Congratulations to Julie, Justin and Jonathon for an excellent job of sticking with it this year. They learned a lot this year and were persistent in thier efforts. I really appreciate those of you who intentionally take the time to put God's word in your heart. We will be doing Romans and James next year and want to plan a successful year. What an Awesome Quiz Team!

Our Quiz Team did an excellent job on Saturday. They got 5th place as a team. Julie Childers got third and I heard that the others did an excellent job. Thanks to Pastor Stephen, who I understand faired well in the coaches quiz, was awesome to spend the day with the team. We are very proud of the Greater Life Quiz Team!

Practicing Matthew Chapters 1-5 every Wednesday night at 5:30pm. Meet over the chapters will occur on September 11th.

Practice starts 5:30pm at Renee's house on Wednesday, July 14th. We will be doing the book of Matthew. Fools for Christ is going to be a great team this year. All that are interested are invited to participate.

We will be handing out the materials for this years quizzing and we will be starting practice next week. Please attend the CRAVE463 Satisfaction gathering at Renee's on July 7th to be a part of the decisions and get the materials. We are studying Matthew this year, so if you haven't yet had a chance to start reading, please do and join us on Wednesday night.

We have a full team at this time and we are excited about getting started. The book that will be studied this year is Matthew and I will start to provide instructions for going forward and getting ready at the next CRAVE463 gathering.

Fools For Christ Meet at Eastside

Fools For Christ wrap up this years quizzing season with Districts at Eastside by winning 4 out of their 6 matches and Bethany Glendenning placing 4th in the State and moving on to competition at Regionals at MidAmerica Nazarene College in Olathe, Kansas on April 15th.

Next meet is on February 7th at Des Moines First Church at 9:00am! Come watch the Fools for Christ as the compete with their knowledge of God's word.

Fools For Christ Study Reminder

Remember to study at least 30 minutes a night. This includes reading at least 3 verses of 1 Peter Chapter 5 each night as well as reading 2 of the memory verses found in the back of your book 3 times and writing those verses two of those times that you read. I am anxious to see the results next Wednesday night.

The quiz team attended their first Quiz Meet this weekend and did a great job.

Bethany Glendenning quizzed out several times and Julie quizzed out once. Our newest team members did an excellent job jumping and actually getting to score for the team several times.

Way to go Bethany, Julie, Elizabeth, Justin and Jonathon.

We are going to start practicing very soon for this years competition. We need to know if you are interested in participating. The books this year are Hebrews and 1 & 2 Peter. We have been talking about Hebrews in our lessons so this should be easy!
