Hi all. Back to school. Oh what fun. Make sure that you don't miss group on Wednesday nights at Alan and Steph's. They have some wonderful lessons going and you won't want to miss them.
A lot of the group went out to see Starfield and and it was awesome. Watch for other upcoming concerts.
It was also great to have all of our NYC friends join us at Greater Life for the Sunday service.

Dig In continues. We have several that are earning their stripes. Amber Golay has even earned a star. Remember it is easy. All you have to do is participate some way in Worship, Outreach, Fellowship or Service.
Several of you enjoyed the movie this weekend and we have some great things planned for you in the upcoming months. Stay informed be checking the calendar.
This week we have campmeeting every night out at the campgrounds at 7:30. Join us for the services if you can. Saturday afternoon starting at 1:00 is the youth convention with a special speaker for the youth. Plan to attend if you can.

Last week we learned that "Lord" isn't just a nickname. We learned why we consider him our Lord. It's because He is our Master.
Several people earned their stripes.
Justin received his green stripe because he performed an act of service.
Matt received his red stripe because he performed an act of fellowship.
Kasey earned a yellow stripe for outreach.
Amber received her red stripe for fellowship, her yellow stripe for outreacha nd her blue stripe for worship.
Remember that you can earn yours as well as we all strive to be Four Star Generals in the Lord's Army.

Where, Oh Where...
...has my youth group gone? Oh where, oh where have they gone?
The good news is that they are in Alaska serving God on a Mission and having a wonderful Vacation Bible School for the people there.
The bad news is that with them gone and Sara in Europe and Casey in Drivers Ed and Natasha and Amber in Colorado at a camp, we won't be having youth Group the next two Wednesdays. (7/27 and 8/3)
Oh, but wait...there is good news again. We are going to start some new and exciting times together starting Wednesday, August 10th. Quizzing will start again at 6:00 on Wednesday evenings and then at 7:00, we will have CRAVE463 and I am really working hard as we start the new school year to bring excitment to our time together.

The youth group will be gathering on Saturday night this week instead of our normal Wednesday Night. We will meet at the Nazarene Campgrounds in West Des Moines to enjoy the youth speaker as a group. CRAVE463 Makes it to the Top
At the completion of our series on "After the Fall" about a man who fell 100 feet at 100mph and had 1 hour to live, we had the opportunity to experience rock climbing of our own and learn to trust the equipment and those that were working with us. We also had the opportunity to experience only a small amount of what it feels to be so high up and only a small rope to hold you. We learned about commitment and persistence as we tried to reach the top. We also enjoyed hearing our group members words of encouragment as we tried to reach the top. We hope that in our next awesome opportunity we get to include you if you were not able to join us for this one. Meet with us this week as we continue the series "Things Jesus Said About Your Life". Every Wednesday night from 7:00 to 8:00.

The Passion of the Christ
We are going to take a break from Craig and Steve and that 100 foot fall. Oh, don't worry, we'll be coming back to it! There is a lot of wonderful things for us to learn from our series on After the Fall.
I want to take to you to a very special place and time. One that changed our lives for ever! On the week of February 24th, there is a movie coming to theaters called "The Passion of the Christ" Mel Gibson plays in this awesome film that accurately depicts the gift that God gave us many years ago by sending His Son to die on the cross for our sins. We are going to spend some time together over the next several weeks learning more about this and then we are going to go see this together.
You won't want to miss the next several Wednesday nights!

It's coming to CRAVE463. Six weeks of finding out just exactly why God put us here on this earth. Make sure that you don't miss it. The fun starts on Sunday, October Life at Greater Life Community Church with a simulcast kick off that you won't want to miss. The service on Sundays at Greater Life will then be directed toward the objectives of these 6 weeks. Your attendance at these services can only enhance your experience.
The 6 weeks at Alan and Stephanies will facilitated by both Alan and Renee and will be a wonderful opportunity to find out God's purpose for your life.
Yep, that is right, you are not the only one. Confusion with regard direction that your life is taking is something that happens to most of us at some time or another. And you thought that you were alone. Come and connect with others as we search for our purpose together. You know, things are easy when you have others to do it with. This is where you will find other teenagers that care and are looking for the same things that you are.
