Youth Group - Every Wednesday Night
We meet on Wednesday nights at Renee's house - 3401 150th Street in Urbandale - for a time of learning and fun with friends. If you need a ride, please contact Stephanie at 778-1084 or Renee at 987-6900.

Ice Skating at Brenton Skating Plaza Downtown DM - Sunday, March 11th
This will be weather permitting. If the weather is too warm, ice skating will not be available there or if it is yucky weather, we will go to and indoor ice skating rink instead. We will again leave right after church and get lunch and the on to Brenton Skating Plaza. You will need money for lunch and the cost for ice skating is: $3 for admission and $2.50 for skate rental. Again, we will keep you updated on the details as this event gets closer. Plan on being there an inviting your friends!

Taking Back Sunday, UnderOath and Armor for Sleep - Tuesday, March 6th
The three above bands are in concert at the Val-Air Ballroom in Des Moines on Tuesday, March 6th, at 7:00pm. Tickets are $25 per person. Please let Stephanie know if you are interested in going!

Kutless, Stellar Kart, Esterlyn and Ever Stays Red - Thursday, March 8th
The above bands will be in concert at Point of Grace Church in Waukee on Thursday, March 8th. The doors open at 6:30pm and the concert begins at 7:00pm. Ticket costs are as follows: $13 for a group of 10 or more, $15 purchased in advance and $18 purchased at the door. If you want to go and would like me to buy you a ticket in advance, then I will need your money today, Sunday, March 4th. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Plain White T's, Boys Night Out and Lovedrug - Friday, March 9th
The three above bands are in concert at the Val-Air Ballroom in Des Moines on Friday, March 9th at 7:00pm. Tickets are $15.50 per person. Please let Stephanie know if you are interested in going!

Jars of Clay with NEEDTOBREATHE and Burlap to Cashmere - Friday, March 23rd
Jars of Clay will be in concert at the Val-Air Ballroom in Des Moines on Friday, March 23rd at 7:00pm. Tickets are $20.00 per person. Please let Stephanie know if you are interested in going!

Roller Skating at Skate North - Saturday, April 7th
We will be going roller skating at Skate North (Corner of Meredith and Merle Hay Roads) on Saturday, April 7th. We will meet at Alan and Stephanie's house (4842 63rd Street in Urbandale) at 6:00pm for pizza, XBox and time to hang out. Then we will go to Skate North from 8:00pm to 10:30pm for skating. The cost for admission is $5 and skate rental (if you don't have your own) of $2 for quads and $3 for inline skates. There is also a snack bar there if you want to bring extra money for pop or snacks at the rink. Invite all your friends and we will see you there!

Spiderman 3-Movie Night - Friday, May 4th
We will be going to see Spiderman 3 at Wynnsong Theaters in Johnston on Friday, May 4th (opening night!). The cost of the ticket is $8.75. We will meet at Alan and Stephanie's house (4842 63rd Street in Urbandale) at 6:30pm for pizza and the usual (XBox, TV, etc.) and then will be going to the movie later that evening (I will not know the time until the Thursday before this). I will be buying tickets in advance just in case of a sell out so if you are planning on coming, I will need your money for your ticket by Wednesday, May 2nd.

I could tell by the sleepy heads at church on Sunday morning that you all had a great time at Extreme Bowling. Now we are looking forward to the next event.

Sledding/Tubing, Skiing/Snowboarding - Sunday, February 18th
The details of this one will depend on the weather. If it snows a good amount, we may go sledding for free at a local sledding hill. If it does not snow, or if we get enough of a positive response, we can go to Sleepy Hollow for Tubing, Skiing and Snowboarding. The cost to go to Sleepy Hollow will be as follows: Tubing $20, Skiing $25, Snowboarding $30 and this includes all equipment rental for 4 hours. We will be going out for lunch right after church and then on to Sleepy Hollow or to a local sledding hill. We will keep you updated on the details and if you have a preference of free sledding or going to Sleepy Hollow - email me back and let me know! Remember to invite your friends!

Xtreme Bowling - Saturday, January 27th
We will be going to Xtreme Bowling at AMF Lanes on 14th Street in Des Moines on Saturday, January 27th. We will meet at Alan and Stephanie's house - 4842 63rd Street in Urbandale at 7:00pm for Pizza, Xbox, etc. and then we will go on to bowling at about 9:30pm-10:00pm. Bowling goes until 1:00am. The cost is $15 and will cover all bowling and shoe rentals. There is a snack bar there if you want to bring extra money for that as well. Please let Stephanie know if you are coming and how many people are coming with you by Wednesday, January 24th, so we can reserve enough lanes. Bring lots of friends!!

West Grand Miniature Golf

September 10th - Invite your friends to join you for miniature golf with the youth group. We will leave immediately following church. The cost is $15. This will be $6.00 for the golf and the rest for the meal that we will have together on the way to the golf course. You can contact Stephanie at 778-1084 for questions or if you need a ride.

School Is Out Grill Out

What would be a better reason for celebrating that you are done with the books for a few months? We think that just the completion of the last 9 months and the enjoyment of the next 3 are worth some celebration.

Alan and Stephanie are hosting an all day grill out at their home immediately following church on Sunday, June 11th.

Plan on joining us for Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Chips, Pop and more for lunch and XBox, games, movies, etc.

To plan for enough food, please let Stephanie know if you are planning to attend.

Movie Night - Pirates of the Carribean

Back by popular demand - another night out at the movies! The movie night for XMen was great - 12 people came along and the movie was great and we had a lot of fun. Now, Pirates of the Caribbean is coming out. We will be going as a group to see the movie on Saturday, July 8th. We will again meet at Stephanie's house at 5:30 for Pizza before the movie. Please have $8.50 for your ticket prepurchase to Stephanie by Wednesday, July 5th. Bring your friends!
